Ad Magic: Funny History Bites’ Journey to 1,900 Subs in a Flash! 🪄📺

When I launched my channel, Funny History Bites, my first video didn’t go viral, but instead of giving up, I decided to change my strategy, my friend.

Considering YouTube’s global reach, I focused on countries with a high number of active users: India, the United States, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom.
These countries offered a huge opportunity for my channel’s growth with their vast audiences.

With a modest budget of 6000 TL (approximately $169.84), I turned to Google Ads.
Despite my limited budget, it was enough to reach millions of YouTube users in these targeted countries.
I decided to advertise with a video I believed had growth potential, one that humorously reimagined a historical event.
This video blended India’s rich history, America’s modern humor, the Philippines’ cultural dynamics, and the UK’s classic wit, all in English, since my video was in English.

While setting up my ad campaign, I paid close attention to the demographic characteristics of each country, focusing solely on English-speaking audiences since my video was in English.
I targeted English-speaking viewers by using keywords and hashtags that aligned with the popular YouTube trends and search habits in each of these countries.
As the campaign kicked off, the view counts started to surge. Viewers from India appreciated the modern take on historical storytelling; Americans valued the universal humor; Filipinos connected with the cultural context; and Brits enjoyed the clever wit.
This strategic targeting and advertising in English alone led to my channel gaining over 1,900 subscribers in just 11 days.
This was just the beginning; each new subscriber prompted YouTube’s algorithm to recommend my channel to more viewers, creating a snowball effect.
This story is a testament to how effective targeting and quality content can lead to significant growth, even with limited resources.
Funny History Bites was on its way to becoming a global community, and this was only the start.
I want your channel to grow too, which is why I’ve shared these tactics with you for free.
